Pages in the Park

Welcome to Share Books.

My name is Kristen Bird-Sheldon and I am a mom, wife, student, writer, and reader of all things.  Reading has always been an important part of my life. Reading takes us to places we might never get to experience on our own; reading puts us in other people's shoes and gives us a perspective on life that we can not get in any other way; reading allows us to learn and share and grow. In fact, there are studies that show that reading fiction helps improve empathy! Despite all of this, far too many children and adults go without books because purchasing them can be time consuming and expensive. It is for these reasons that I started Share Books.

The concept is simple: Share your books. Choose books that are in good condition and give them new homes with others in your community. Share your love of reading, and meet people that are interested in sharing the love as well.
